Thank you for your interest in The Bionomics Institute. Much like the economy, The Bionomics Institute itself has moved on to the next phase of its evolution. In non-metaphorical terms, this means that Institute President and Bionomics author Michael Rothschild, and Institute Executive Director Steve Gibson, are focusing full-time on creating a startup software company, Maxager Technology, Inc. Formerly named, Applied Bionomics, Inc., Maxager Technology (www.maxager.com) is turning bionomic principles into action inside major manufacturing organizations worldwide. By creating software which facilitates organization learning and cost reduction, Maxager is proving out bionomic theory in the 'real world" economy. Consequently, The Bionomics Institute has gone into hibernation, until the startup phase of Maxager Technology is completed. Even so, our website remains an important outreach tool and essential source of information on Bionomic thinking. Watch for periodic additions to the site, such as The Journal of Bionomics. Bionomics, the book, has been published in Japanese, Spanish, and Korean, and is soon to be released in German and Russian. And Michael Rothschild continues to make occasional speeches to audiences across the country. The meeting place of our community, the annual Bionomics conference, wrapped up with a Fifth Annual Conference in November 1997. After co-sponsoring the conference last year, the Cato Institute plans to address many of the same topics at its own annual West Coast gathering. Watch www.cato.org for details. Thanks again. |
